Do not remove the iLok while running Pro Tools. Searching through the DUC I found many other people with similar problems and some had said they submitted a case to Avid support and had received a temporary. My iLok sat there with a Pro Tools 12 license for all the world to see but Pro Tools 12.6 was having none of it.

After installing Pro Tools 12.6 it would insist that I had no license. It is OK to pay for new features but you should not pay for bug fixes, which is essentially repair of errors introduced by avid. Pro Tools 12.6.1 is now available for download. I think avids model is wrong, because no matter when your plan expires and you decide to stop, you will never get hold of the bug fix releases in order to "complete" your PT. Please correct me if that is wrong, since I haven't been able to try it out. So, even though the license is OK, the hurdle issued by avid is that you can't get hold of the installers for neither 12.5.1 nor 12.5.2 from your account, if your plan expired at 12.5.0.

say you have 12.5.0 and you install 12.5.2, will it work or not ? Your free trial includes Pro Tools Ultimate, 110+ plugins, a 2 GB high-quality loop library and 1 GB of Collaboration Cloud Storage. what if you Did install a later version ? what message does the software give you ? ie: you are not authorized to run this version of PT ? or ? and when does this kick in.
